The event was a huge success. We gave away over 100 helmets. made $200 in brat sales and $400 in a silent auction for Brandon's Champions. The police registered many bicycles, we coached many kids on the rules of bike safety and gave participants certificates.

KELLER WILLIAMS SECOND ANNUAL BIKE SAFETY RODEO
IS GIVING OUT FREE HELMETS
COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. ─ Keller Williams Realty is putting on their second annual Bike Safety Rodeo in cooperation with the Cottage Grove PTO. The event will be hosted at Glacial Drumlin School on September 12, 2009 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM. This fundraiser is to benefit Brandon’s Champions.
Brandon’s Champions is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bicycle and helmet safety. It also promotes and provides emergency medical identification tags, which go in the bicycle helmets. They understand that accidents happen, but want children to have proper protection and identification at all times.
This non-profit organization was started after a tragic bicycle/vehicle accident took the life of Brandon Fochs of Wisconsin. The Foch family was unaware that their son had been in an accident for several hours. Brandon was not carrying any identification on him, so emergency responders had no way of knowing who to contact for several hours.
This event is trying to prevent this tragic event from happening to someone you may know and love. We will be providing a family fun day, and welcome everyone to come down. There will be local emergency service staff, bike mechanics and police at the event. There will be food for sale, and donations are still being accepted.
